Diwali is not complete without sweets(Mithayi). Every Diwali I invite my friends for the dinner. This year on the day of Diwali I was working in the daytime. I was not sure what to make for the sweets(dessert) and also didn't have enough time. So I decided to make something quick. The famous Indian dessert Besan Laddu was in my mind but that takes time. I tried an experiment. This experiment was fusion of Indian besan ladoo and Bliss-ball. It was well received my friends, they described this bliss ball cum besan laddu had "divine flavour".
Ingredients
Besan (Chickpea flour) 200 grams
Coconut oil / Ghee 4 Table spoon
Shredded coconut 100 grams
Peanut butter 200 grams
Cardamom 15 pods
Golden syrup 250 ml
Tahini 50 ml
Cashew nuts for garnishing 50 grams
Total Preparation time
30 to 45 minutes
Preparation
Grind the cardamon and remove the shells
Cooking
Start your stove on medium heat. Put coconut oil / ghee in pan. Once oil is melted put Besan (Chickpea flour) in pan. Now start mixing and keep mixing. Make sure flour doesn't get burn on bottom so keep mixing. When you see the flower has become slightly brown, Take the pan out from stove.
Mixing
Now mix all ingredients all together nicely. Try kneading to make good mix.
Preparing Balls
When you mix is ready. Start making small to medium size balls. Place them in large tray or place. make sure you don’t place them on top of each other if want to do cashew garnishing later on.
Final touch
Once balls are ready. Stick cashew nuts on top of each one.
It is ready. Enjoy!
